Welcome to Oak Hills Athletics
Spencer Kaufenberg Boys' Lacrosse Sr.
Senior Spencer Kaufenberg had 6 goals in 4 games last week and helped us secure our first win of the year on Saturday.
Gabe Cox Baseball Sr
Gabe is the epitome of what it means to be a student athlete. While achieving straight A’s during the third quarter he also played an important role in the varsity basketball team and he has been a good role model for all the young players on the baseball team. We expect big things from Gabe Cox this spring.
JT Harper Boys' Track Soph
JT is competing in his first season on the track & field team. He has quickly risen as Oak Hills' top shot put and discus thrower. At our opening meet at Harrison, JT placed in the top 8 in both the shot put and discus competitions. His focus and competitive spirit have fueled initial success.
Lexi Shepherd Girls' Lacrosse Fr.
Lexi began lacrosse this year as a goalie. As a seasoned soccer player, she has been learning quickly and is becoming a huge asset to our teams in the goal. She ended the matches against Sycamore with a total of 11 saves. We have been so pleased with how much she has improved in the past few weeks, and we are looking forward to watching Lexi continue to grow as a young leader, goalie, and student!
Emrie Fink Softball Sr
Sr Captain Emrie Fink leads the Highlanders in centerfield. Week 1 Emrie collected 2 doubles, a triple and her first two home runs of the season- including a walk-off double against Goshen. Emrie not only leads on the softball field but also in the classroom. She holds a 4.70 gpa and is an active member of the NHS.
Lorelei Maier Girls' Lacrosse Fr.
In our first two games of the season, Lorelei played a key role in transitions, which showed through her caused turnovers, and was a vocal leader on all sides of the ball. She made a significant impact on the draw circle, coming out of both games with a handful of draw controls. As we move into our triple header this week, we are confident Lorelei will continue to be a crucial part of our performance as a team
Josie Williams Girls' Track Jr.
Josie had an excellent first meet at Harrison, placing in the top 8 of the 100m, 200m and 400m dashes as well as anchoring the winning 4x400m relay. This hot start to her season is no surprise, following the best pre-season she has ever had. Josie's commitment to her goals and follow through have been an impressive process to witness.
