- 1975 graduate of Oak Hills High School and received his Bachelor of Arts in dual majors of Business and Economics from Wittenberg University in 1979
- Attended University of Cincinnati 1979-1982 to complete an education degree

- Founded, operated and coached in the Cincinnati AAU Boys’ basketball program (1st Cincinnati area AAU program); coached AAU Teams for 36 years; program has placed over 400 high school players in college basketball
- Coached 2 or more teams each AAU season in various age groups ranging from 13 Years Old to 17 Years Old
- At its peak Cincinnati AAU sponsored and operated 17 teams during 1 AAU season
- Currently coaching for Shining Stars AAU
- The 17 year old teams have placed in the top 20 teams in the AAU Nationals 17 of the past 23 years.
- Served as Ohio AAU Boys' Basketball Chairperson for 9 years
- Currently serve as a Greater Cincinnati Coaches Hall of Fame Advisory Committee Member
- Served as the Southwest Ohio Basketball Coach’s Association - District 16 Cincinnati East – West All Star Game Chairman; has served in this capacity for 20 years
- Coached the Junior/Senior Boys' Basketball Team at Our lady of Victory, 10 years
- Served on the Oak Hills Education Foundation Advisory Board
- Currently serve on the Advisory Board for the Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Classic
