Boys XC Update

Posted on: October 11, 2019

Ross Invitational

Heading into the postseason, our boys have shown that they are ready to step up to any challenge.  They have worked hard all season in the miserable heat, never complaining.  And in the last race of the regular season, they competed well on a course with very unfriendly footing.  It is common to "tip toe" and approach courses like this with caution, but our guys charged into challenging sections and just about everyone raced around their season best.  Our varsity squad was 3rd/17 and the JV guys were 4th/11.

Results from Ross

Athletes of the Week
Varsity- Alex Taft: Alex has been an amazing addition to our team during his freshman year.  From the start, he exceeded our expectations and has been a consistent top 5 runner for us.  Alex was 3rd for the team on Saturday at Ross, helping us to earn a 3rd place finish out of 17 teams, and we look forward to seeing what he can do at the GMC championship.

JV- Andrew Moreland: Andrew was one of just a few guys to run a personal best on Saturday and he did so by a large margin of 41 seconds.  He has come a long way since he joined us last track & field season.  Andrew is a positive presence with a smile on his face everyday at practice without fail.
