Girls Hoops Top Middies

Oak Hills used a 21-9 run in the fourth period to break open a 34-34 tie and defeat Middletown on the road, 55-43.

Senior guard Dy’Jhanik Armfield led the way with 15 points and 3 assists and senior forward Jaylah Herzog added 9 points and a career-high 15 rebounds along with 6 steals. Junior guard Anna Thomas scored 12 points on 5-9 shooting as 8 different players scored in the game for the Highlanders. Freshman guard Erykah Cornett came off bench and played outstanding defense, shutting down Middletown’s leading scorer and adding 3 steals.

Oak Hills improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the GMC.
