McDonalds Players of the Week for 3.1.22

Congrats to our McDonald's Players of the Week for 3.1.22 and 3.8.22!

 Mason Bencurik          Boys' Swimming        Sr

Mason is a 4 year varsity swimmer and an exemplary student-athlete. Mason is a National Merit Scholar. He swam the 100 Free at state finishing 10th. He broke his own 200 Free record with a 1:40.60 to finish 7th at state. Next year, Mason plans on swimming and studying at Case Western.

Elena McBride Girls' Bowling Jr

Elena had an outstanding day at the Girls Bowling Sectionals Tournament last Thursday. She rolled a series of 483, for a 161 average, the second highest on the team and the 27th highest overall individual series of the tournament! Elena's series helped the Highlanders advance to the Districts Tournament this week.  

McDonalds Payers of the Week for 3

Tanner Iles Boys' Bowling Fr

Tanner rolled a 617 series at Districts to help the team finish 5th and advance to State. Tanner also is averaging over 206 on the season and was selected for GMC first team. 

 

Kenzie Goff Girls' Bowling Jr

Kenzie ended the 2021-2022 girls bowling season with a bang! At the Sectionals and Districts tournaments over the past 2 weeks, she averaged 171.5 per game, almost 35 pins above her average. At the Districts Tournament, she rolled her new personal best series of 513 and new high game of 191, finishing 62nd individually among the best bowlers in the Southwest District!
